How to Ship From Amazon to The Bahamas

By Mr. Ship It Team · October 17, 2026 · 3 min read

Amazon ships some items to The Bahamas directly, but most of its catalogue only goes to US addresses. With a free US address from Mr. Ship It, you can order almost anything on Amazon, have it delivered to our Florida warehouse like any US customer, and collect it in Nassau, Exuma or Eleuthera, with customs cleared for you.

Step 1: Get your free US address

Create your free account. You'll get your own address at our warehouse in Miami Lakes, Florida, with a unique suite number. There's no sign-up fee: you only pay when you ship.

Step 2: Add the address to Amazon

In Amazon, go to Your Account, then Your Addresses, and add a new address exactly as it appears in your Mr. Ship It account:

  • your full name,
  • the street address of our warehouse,
  • your suite number on the second address line, and
  • the city, state (Florida) and ZIP code.

The suite number is how we match the package to you, so it must be on every order. Save the address and make it your default if you shop Amazon often.

Step 3: Order and choose cheap US shipping

At checkout, pick the new address. Choose free or standard shipping: delivery to our warehouse is a domestic US delivery, so Prime and free-shipping offers work as they would for anyone in Florida. Amazon adds Florida sales tax on orders shipped to a Florida address, just as it does for Florida shoppers.

Step 4: Upload the invoice

In Amazon, open Your Orders, choose the order and select View invoice. Save or screenshot it and upload it in your Mr. Ship It account. Customs works out duty from it, and a package with its invoice on file clears without waiting. Our guide to customs invoices explains what Customs needs.

Step 5: Track it and collect it

Amazon tracking numbers start with TBA. Once Amazon shows the package as delivered, you can check it has reached us with the courier tracking lookup, and you'll see it in your account. Once your package reaches our warehouse, it is typically ready in Nassau within 5 business days, and in the Family Islands within 6 to 8 business days.

What it costs

You pay three things on top of the Amazon price:

  1. Freight, by weight: $8.99 up to 5 lb, $1.89 per lb from 5 to 30 lb, and $0.99 per lb plus a $20 XL parcel fee from 30 lb. Bulky boxes are charged on their size when that's greater. See the rates and fees.
  2. Customs duty and fees, depending on what you bought. Laptops, tablets and headphones are duty free; clothing, phones and TVs are not. Check the duty rates by item.
  3. VAT on the landed cost.

The shipping calculator adds it all up before you buy.

Tips for Amazon orders

  • Check the item ships to US addresses. A few third-party sellers restrict where they deliver; anything that ships to Florida works.
  • Watch for hazardous goods. Aerosols, loose lithium batteries and some liquids have airline restrictions and a handling charge. Call us on 603-5555 if you're unsure.
  • Put items in one order so they arrive with one invoice, and upload it as soon as you order.
  • Look out for split shipments. Amazon often sends one order in several boxes. Each box is shipped and billed on its own, and each needs the order's invoice.
