Terms & Conditions

Terms governing account registration, package handling, payments, compliance reviews, claims, liability limits, and use of Mr. Ship It services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Mr. Ship It website, customer account systems, shipping address program, package receiving services, freight forwarding services, package release procedures, pickup and delivery arrangements, and any related services we provide.

By registering for an account, using a suite number or shipping address assigned by us, sending items to our facilities, directing us to receive, process, store, release, deliver, forward, return, or discard items, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility, Registration, and Account Information

You must provide complete, accurate, and current information when applying for or maintaining an account. We may require personal accounts and business accounts to complete identity verification, address verification, business verification, authority verification, or other onboarding steps before account activation, shipment processing, shipment release, or continued use of services.

  • You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, contact details, and authorized pickup or delivery instructions.
  • You may not use another person's identity, payment method, or shipping authority without lawful authorization.
  • We may refuse to open, maintain, or reactivate an account where information is incomplete, inconsistent, unverifiable, suspicious, or otherwise unacceptable to our risk and compliance controls.

3. Scope of Services

Mr. Ship It acts as a logistics and freight forwarding service provider and may also coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, agents, warehouses, payment providers, and other service partners. Our services may include receiving packages or mail, assigning a suite number or U.S. shipping address, opening and inspecting packages, weighing and measuring packages, consolidating items, arranging transport, storing items, facilitating customs processing, releasing shipments for pickup, and handling delivery or return instructions.

We are not the seller, manufacturer, or original carrier of the items you order. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, we do not guarantee that any shipment can or will be exported, imported, cleared, delivered, or released within any particular timeframe.

4. KYC, AML, Inspection, and Restricted Goods Controls

Use of our services is subject to our internal compliance procedures, including KYC, AML, fraud prevention, sanctions screening support, package inspection, and restricted goods review.

  • We may require identification documents, proof of address, business records, tax or registration information, invoices, proof of payment, end-use information, or additional supporting documents.
  • We may open, inspect, photograph, review, reweigh, or otherwise examine packages and related documents at any time for operational, safety, customs, insurance, fraud prevention, or compliance purposes.
  • We may delay, refuse, return, hold, report, surrender, or dispose of shipments where we suspect prohibited goods, restricted goods, dangerous goods, false declarations, sanctions exposure, suspicious activity, fraud, illegal use, unpaid balances, or any breach of these Terms.
  • Completion of account registration does not guarantee that every shipment will be accepted, processed, transported, released, or delivered.

Release control. Shipments may be withheld from pickup, delivery, forwarding, or export until required KYC, payment, customs, fraud, or compliance checks have been completed to our satisfaction.

5. Prohibited and Restricted Items

You may not use our services for unlawful, dangerous, fraudulent, or prohibited shipments. Restricted goods may be accepted only where lawful, operationally feasible, and supported by all required approvals and documentation.

5.1 Examples of prohibited or commonly refused items

  • Firearms, ammunition, weapon parts, tactical gear, explosives, fireworks, and similar items.
  • Hazardous, flammable, corrosive, toxic, pressurized, combustible, or otherwise dangerous materials.
  • Illegal drugs, contraband, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, lock-picking devices, or unlawful surveillance items.
  • Cash, bearer instruments, lottery tickets, and similar high-risk valuables unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
  • Items prohibited by carrier rules, customs rules, export controls, import controls, sanctions restrictions, or destination-country laws.

5.2 Customer responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that goods tendered to us are lawful, safely packaged, accurately described, properly declared, and eligible for transport, export, import, clearance, and delivery. Our acceptance, handling, or processing of any package does not mean the package is lawful or compliant.

6. Charges, Payment Authorization, Customs, and Taxes

You authorize us and our payment service providers to charge your selected payment method for all amounts due in connection with your account or any shipment handled for you. Charges may include shipping charges, customs duties, VAT, taxes, brokerage charges, processing charges, inspection fees, storage, insurance, service fees, penalties, address correction charges, return charges, compliance review charges, and any other applicable amounts.

  • All charges are due when billed unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Quoted delivery times and quoted prices may be estimates only unless expressly identified as fixed and binding.
  • You remain responsible for all destination duties, taxes, assessments, customs charges, regulatory charges, and any costs arising from inaccurate declarations or missing documentation.
  • We may suspend release of goods until all outstanding charges are paid in full.
  • Card, bank and payment-provider fees, currency, and exchange rates. Charges are billed in US Dollar equivalent. Your card issuer, bank, wallet or payment provider (including buy-now-pay-later and crypto providers) may add its own fees, including foreign transaction fees, currency conversion charges, network fees, or an exchange rate of its choosing. Those amounts are set and collected by that provider, not by us. We are not responsible for them, they are not part of our charges, and we do not refund them.

7. Storage, Delinquency, Lien, and Abandonment

We may assess storage or holding charges on shipments not promptly collected, released, or cleared. If your account is delinquent, inactive, disputed, non-compliant, or unreachable, we may hold shipments and decline further services.

To secure payment of all sums due and performance of your obligations, you grant us a contractual lien and security interest, to the fullest extent permitted by law, over shipments, documents, and related property in our possession or control. If charges remain unpaid or shipments remain unclaimed, we may, after any notice required by applicable law, return, surrender, dispose of, destroy, or sell the goods and apply proceeds toward the amount owed, without further liability except as required by non-waivable law.

8. Claims, Insurance, and Limitation of Liability

Any insurance, declared value coverage, or carrier liability is subject to the terms, exclusions, procedures, and limits imposed by the applicable carrier, insurer, warehouse, or service provider. Coverage may be unavailable for some commodities or destinations.

  • You must inspect shipments promptly and notify us of any visible loss, shortage, damage, or delivery issue within the claim period we specify or, if none is specified, within a commercially reasonable time.
  • We may require original invoices, proof of value, photographs, packaging evidence, and other documents before considering any claim.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost business, loss of market, or emotional distress.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any shipment or service event is limited to the lesser of the proven direct loss, declared value accepted by us, available carrier or insurer recovery, or the amount you paid us for the affected service, except to the extent non-waivable law provides otherwise.

9. Website and Service Use Restrictions

You may not use our website or services to harass others, upload malicious code, interfere with our systems, misrepresent identity, conduct fraud, launder funds, evade customs or sanctions laws, receive prohibited goods, or otherwise engage in unlawful or abusive conduct.

We may suspend or terminate access to our website, accounts, or services at any time where we reasonably believe misuse, fraud, risk, or legal exposure exists.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mr. Ship It, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, and service providers from and against any losses, liabilities, penalties, fines, claims, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to your account, your shipments, your instructions, your documents or declarations, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your negligence, fraud, or misconduct.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate any account or service immediately, with or without notice where permitted by law, if we determine that continued service presents legal, operational, payment, fraud, sanctions, customs, safety, reputational, or compliance risk, or where you breach these Terms.

Termination does not affect amounts already due, rights accrued before termination, our retention rights, or any provisions that by their nature should survive termination.

  • Changes: We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version. Continued use of our services after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
  • Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable service-specific terms, form the agreement between you and us concerning the covered services.

13. Governing Law and Venue

Unless non-waivable law requires otherwise, these Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the website or services shall be governed by the laws of The Bahamas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that the courts of The Bahamas shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to our right to seek interim, injunctive, debt recovery, possession, or enforcement relief in any competent jurisdiction where persons, goods, or assets are located.

14. Contact

General customer service questions may be directed to [email protected]. Compliance-related issues, including suspicious activity, restricted goods, or escalation matters, may be directed to [email protected].

15. Shipping Bucks Rewards Programme

Shipping Bucks (written "SB$") are a loyalty reward we may credit to your account when you pay for services online through our website. Shipping Bucks are a discretionary promotional benefit. They are not money, property, a deposit, or a stored-value product.

15.1 Earning

  • Shipping Bucks are earned on payments made online, by card or any other payment method offered at checkout, through the customer website or our online payment portal, including package bills and home delivery fees, at the rate in effect when the payment is started. Before you check out, the pay page shows how many Shipping Bucks the payment will earn.
  • From time to time we may offer a higher promotional rate for a stated period. The promotional rate applies to payments started within that period, and may be capped per payment. Promotional rates do not combine with each other.
  • The rate applies to the amount you actually pay at checkout, after any account credit or Shipping Bucks applied to that payment.
  • Shipping Bucks are credited when the payment clears. A payment that fails, is reversed, disputed, or refunded earns no Shipping Bucks, and Shipping Bucks already credited for it may be removed.
  • Payments made in store, by bank transfer, or through any channel other than our online payment pages do not earn Shipping Bucks unless we state otherwise.

15.2 Value

One hundred Shipping Bucks (SB$ 100) are worth one US Dollar equivalent (US$1.00) against charges on your account. Shipping Bucks are shown as whole units; fractions are rounded to the nearest unit in our records.

15.3 Spending

  • Shipping Bucks may be applied only to charges paid through the customer website.
  • Once your balance reaches the published minimum (currently SB$ 500), your Shipping Bucks are applied automatically at checkout. You may untick the option to keep them.
  • We may cap the share of any bill that Shipping Bucks can cover.
  • Because our payment provider requires a payment at checkout, at least US$1.00 equivalent of any bill paid at checkout is paid with your chosen payment method and cannot be paid with Shipping Bucks.
  • Shipping Bucks applied to a checkout are held while the payment is in progress and are released back to your balance if the payment is not completed within 48 hours.

15.4 Not cash

Shipping Bucks have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be transferred, sold, or combined between accounts, and cannot be applied to charges that have already been paid. When a payment that used Shipping Bucks is refunded, the Shipping Bucks portion is returned to your Shipping Bucks balance, not to your card or other payment method.

15.5 Expiry and adjustments

  • Shipping Bucks expire twelve (12) months after the date they were earned if they have not been used. Shipping Bucks are used oldest first.
  • We may correct your balance to fix errors, reverse Shipping Bucks earned on refunded or reversed payments, or remove Shipping Bucks obtained through misuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms.

15.6 Changes and ending the programme

We may change the earn rate, minimum, caps, expiry, or any other feature of the programme, pause it, or end it at any time by posting a notice on the website. If the programme ends, you will have at least thirty (30) days from the notice to use any balance. While the programme is paused, balances are kept but cannot be spent. Shipping Bucks are forfeited if your account is closed for breach of these Terms.

15.7 Duties and taxes

Shipping Bucks reduce the amount you pay us. They do not reduce customs duties, VAT, or other government charges, which are assessed on the full value of the goods and services.

16. Account Credit

Account credit ("credit") is a balance in US Dollar equivalent that we may place on your account, for example when we refund a charge, cancel a paid delivery, resolve a claim, make a goodwill gesture, correct a billing error, or credit the value of a promotional voucher or gift card.

16.1 Using credit

  • Credit is applied automatically to charges paid through the customer website. You may untick the option to keep it.
  • Credit may also be applied to purchases at any of our locations.
  • We may cap the share of any bill that credit can cover.

16.2 Not cash

Credit is not redeemable for cash, cannot be transferred to another person or account, and cannot be applied to charges already paid, except where the law requires otherwise. If we refund a purchase that was paid partly with credit, the credit portion is returned to your credit balance, not to your card or other payment method.

16.3 Refunds to credit

Unless we tell you otherwise when the refund is issued, refunds of delivery fees and other service charges are made to your account credit rather than to your original payment method.

16.4 Expiry

Account credit issued as a refund, correction, or goodwill gesture does not expire. We may in future offer other forms of credit, such as promotional credit or vouchers, that expire on a stated date or after a stated period. Any expiry will be stated when that credit is issued and will apply only to that credit.

16.5 Corrections

We may reverse credit issued in error, credit relating to a sale that is later voided or charged back, or credit obtained through fraud or breach of these Terms. Credit is forfeited if your account is closed for breach of these Terms.

17. Home Delivery

Where we offer home delivery, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of these Terms.

17.1 Availability

  • Delivery is offered only to the areas shown on the delivery request form, currently within New Providence, and only for packages that have been paid in full.
  • We may decline any delivery request, for example for oversized, hazardous, high-value, or restricted items, or for addresses our vehicles cannot reasonably reach.
  • Packages received more than 180 days ago are not eligible for delivery.

17.2 Fees

The delivery fee is a flat charge per request, set by area and shown before you pay. It covers delivery to the address you give us, including one free second attempt as described in section 17.6. The fee is a service charge and does not include customs duties, VAT on your goods, or any other charge on the packages themselves.

17.3 Timing

Delivery times shown on the website (for example, "usually within 24 to 48 hours of payment") are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Weather, road conditions, holidays, and demand may delay a delivery.

17.4 Your responsibilities

  • You must give a complete and accurate address, a nearby landmark, and a telephone number the driver can reach on the day.
  • Someone aged 18 or over must be available at the address to receive the packages and may be asked to show identification and to sign.
  • If you use "use my current location" on the delivery form, you authorise us to record your device's coordinates with the request to help the driver find you.

17.5 Cancelling

  • You may cancel a delivery request on the website at any time before we schedule the delivery. The fee is refunded to your account credit.
  • Once a delivery has been scheduled or is out for delivery, contact us to cancel. The fee is credited to your account.

17.6 Failed and refused deliveries

If nobody is available to receive the packages, the address cannot be found, or the driver cannot reach you by telephone, we will contact you to arrange one further attempt at no extra charge. If the second attempt also fails, the packages are returned to our store for collection, the delivery fee is kept, and a new request and fee are needed for any further attempt.

17.7 Packages booked for delivery

Packages booked for delivery cannot be collected in store until the request is cancelled or completed.

17.8 Risk and claims

Risk in the packages passes to you when they are handed over at the address, including to any person there who accepts them on your behalf. Please check packages on receipt and report any loss or damage as described in section 8. Delivery to the address you gave us, including handing packages to a person there who accepts them, discharges our delivery obligation.
