Duty on Beauty and Personal Care
Make-up, hair, fragrance, grooming and toiletries: what Customs charges on each.
Beauty and personal care is a category where rates have come down recently: several everyday items were cut in the 2025 and 2026 budgets, and the table shows what changed and when. Perfume, cologne, soap, toothpaste and shampoo come in duty free, while make-up and electric styling tools pay more.
Hair is a common question. Complete wigs and loose human or synthetic hair are listed separately, so check which one matches what you're ordering. Perfume and some sprays can count as hazardous goods for the flight, which adds a handling charge, so keep fragrances in their original packaging.
