Black Friday 2026 From The Bahamas
By Mr. Ship It Team · October 17, 2026 · 3 min read
Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026, with Cyber Monday on November 30, and many US stores start their sales days or weeks earlier. With a free US address, the same deals are open to you as to any US shopper. Here's how to plan your shopping so the savings survive the trip home.
Know your landed cost before you buy
A discount only helps if the item is still cheaper once it's in your hands. Duty varies a lot by product: laptops, tablets, headphones and smart watches are duty free, while TVs, game consoles and small kitchen appliances pay some of the higher rates. Before you add something to your cart:
- Look up its rate in the duty rates, or by category: electronics, clothing and shoes, home and appliances.
- Run it through the shipping calculator with the sale price, weight and box size.
That way a "40% off" TV and a "20% off" laptop can be compared on what they actually cost you.
What's usually worth it
- Laptops, tablets and headphones: duty free, light, and heavily discounted.
- Clothing and shoes: the most popular thing Bahamians buy online. Duty is the same whatever the brand, so a good sale price goes straight to your pocket.
- Smart home and small electronics: streaming sticks, speakers and cameras are often duty free and small to ship.
- Big items: TVs, appliances and furniture can still be good buys, but freight and duty matter more. Check the box size: freight is charged on it when it's greater than the weight.
Set up before the sales start
- Get your free US address now if you don't have one, and add it to your store accounts (Amazon, Walmart, Target and so on) with your suite number on the second line. Our Amazon guide shows where.
- Save your payment card in each store so you can check out quickly when a deal goes live.
- Make a list of what you need, with the regular price, so you can tell a real deal from a marked-up one.
Order smart
- Buy everything from one store in one order where you can, so it arrives as one box with one invoice. Each package that reaches our warehouse is shipped and billed on its own.
- Upload each invoice as soon as you order. The order confirmation is enough; our invoice guide explains what Customs needs. Holiday weeks are busy, and an invoice on file keeps your package moving.
- Check sizes and models carefully. Returning something to a US store from The Bahamas costs time and freight both ways.
Timing for Christmas
Black Friday orders take a few days to reach our Miami Lakes warehouse, then are typically ready in Nassau within 5 business days and in the Family Islands within 6 to 8. Stores and carriers are at their busiest from late November, so the earlier you order gifts, the more room you have. For anything that must be under the tree, shop the early sales rather than waiting for the last weekend.
Pay online and earn Shipping Bucks
When your packages are ready, pay your bill online before you collect. Every online payment earns Shipping Bucks you can put towards your next bill, which helps with the January shipping too.
