Shopping Shein and Temu From The Bahamas

Shein and Temu are hugely popular in The Bahamas: low prices, endless choice, and clothes, the number one thing Bahamians buy online. Both ship to US addresses, so with a free US address from Mr. Ship It you can order from either and collect in Nassau, Exuma or Eleuthera. A few habits make a big difference to what you pay.

Setting up

1. Get your free US address. You'll get your own address at our Miami Lakes, Florida warehouse with a unique suite number.
2. In the Shein or Temu app, add it as a shipping address, with your suite number on the second address line. That's how we match each package to you.
3. Shop as normal and choose standard US shipping.

The thing that costs most: many small parcels

Temu in particular often splits one order into several packages, and Shein sometimes does too. Each package that reaches our warehouse is shipped and billed on its own, so five small parcels pay five freight charges, at least $8.99 each, where one box would pay one. Before you check out:

• Order fewer, bigger baskets rather than lots of small orders through the week.
• Check the delivery details at checkout: if the app shows several shipments, consider whether every item is worth its share of the freight.

Duty on what you're buying

Most Shein and Temu orders are clothing, shoes, accessories and small household items:

• Clothing, shoes and swimwear pay the clothing duty rate; handbags, wallets, watches, sunglasses and jewelry are duty free. See clothing and accessories.
• Home goods and gadgets vary: plastic kitchenware dropped to 20% in July 2026, while candles and artificial flowers pay more. See home and appliances.

Invoices from Shein and Temu

Customs works out duty from your invoice, so upload it in your account as soon as you order. In either app, open the order and save the order details, making sure each item and its price are visible, not just the total. Things to watch

• Batteries and sprays. Gadgets with loose lithium batteries, aerosols and some cosmetics count as hazardous goods for the flight and add a handling charge. Call us on 603-5555 if you're unsure.
• Sizes. Size charts vary between sellers. Returning an item from The Bahamas is rarely worth the freight, so check the chart and reviews first.
• Counterfeits. Fake branded goods are prohibited imports and can be seized by Customs. Buy unbranded or genuine items.
